Melissa & Estevez married! Arroyo Grande, CA

From the bride Melissa, "My friend and I were at a party in high school, and apparently Estevez said he saw me and just had to know me (I didn't even notice him at the party haha). Well the friend that I was with happened to be a co worker of his so after we left the party he asked her for my number. My friend asked me if she could give it to him and my first reaction was "no way that's so creepy!" Hahaha well she gave it to him anyways and a couple days later he started to text me, we hit it off immediately and decided to go on our first date to the movies. It felt like a blind date to me because I had no idea what he looked like or anything, but I had nothing to lose and he seemed like an awesome guy. And I was right, he had me laughing the whole time and we found out we had a lot of things in common. That was in 2007 and we have been together ever since! I knew I had found the one when he took me to the dog pound and we looked and played with the dogs for hours it seemed like. To see his compassion for all the dogs in there just melted my heart. We always say we want to save all the dogs in there. We have a mutual love for dogs; that was the first thing we realized we had in common. We have two dogs now, a German Shepard named Kaiya and a chihuahua named Chula! Estevez and I didn't have a traditional relationship, we had two kids before we decided to get married. We had our son Gavin in 2008, and our daughter Rylee in 2011. My best memories have to be when they were born. Estevez holding my hand while I'm screaming my head off during labor. I'll never forget how calm he was, and trying his best to make me comfortable. And then his face when he got to see his little babies for the first time. Seeing how much he loves his kids makes me love him even more! Estevez popped the question at a beach in Santa Barbara. It was an intimate proposal, with just us two on the beach."
