Sarah & Brett married! Bakersfield, CA

From the bride Sarah: Sarah and Brett's love story began on June 9, 2012. Sarah's dad, David, is a Captain and Brett is an Engineer with the Kern County Fire Department. After working a shift in Wasco, David stopped by the Shafter fire station to play a few games of tennis with a fellow fireman. While at the station, David started chatting with Brett about his Harley Davidson motorcycle that he was thinking about selling. They talked for a bit and then Brett got back to work and David headed off to play tennis. Two days later, David returned to his station where he works with an Engineer named Bret Eckard. Eckard just happens to be a friend and former coworker of Brett's. David mentioned meeting Brett in Shafter a couple days prior. That was all it took for Eckard to put on his matchmaking shoes and go to town! Later that day, Brett called Sarah and their first date was set for that Friday. They've been inseparable ever since.

Brett's plan started with a weekend trip to Arroyo Grande. He took me for a walk through downtown AG one evening like we always do. As we came upon a gazebo near our favorite park, our close family and friends emerged from behind a fence and surrounded the gazebo. Brett took me into the gazebo, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him! It couldn't have been more perfect!
