Erin & Chente married! Paso Robles, CA {Windfall Farms}
From the bride Erin: I knew of him - a big name on campus. We briefly met first through mutual friends at the dining hall. He was wearing an A's hat and mainly kept to himself, but I was still curious about him. When we met again at a party, so it must have been fate. A first date to the movies, countless texts, and late night runs for PB&J, and then we were pretty much inseparable. Or maybe it was the birthday serenade outside my window, the first time he played me a song on his guitar, or the surprise country concert (Chris Cagle!) at the House of Blues that had me hooked on this mysterious man Chente Lopez. 6 1/2 years later he still surprises me. I know now that his one-in-a-million, beyond caring and wise personality is what really sealed the deal way back then and still has me wrapped up. These first years were just our beginning. I'm so lucky to be with Chente forever.
I was grumpy that evening. He called me on his way home from work and said that he would pick me up for dinner. I was already relaxing in sweats so I reluctantly agreed. We drove down to the beach headed towards Chevy's at the marina. This made me even grumpier since I don't particularly like Chevy's. We parked on the side of the road and he suggested we take a photo since it was such a pretty sunset. I stalked over to ledge and when I turned around from adjusting my hair, he was down on one knee! I was so surprised and so overjoyed! Of course, I said YES. Another surprise was that the jogger he had asked to take a photo was actually taking a video! We were able to share the moment with friends and family (after a couple celebratory shots of tequila at Chevys!)
