From the bride Michelle: The Central Coast holds a special place in both of our hearts, not just for its natural splendor and stunning views of the California coastline. When I told Dan that I had never been to Big Sur shortly after we first met (despite me being born and raised just two hours away and going to college at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo!), he decided that I just had to see it for myself. We rented a car and made the trek down the coast on one of our first dates, and much to my relief things never got awkward and we never ran out of things to talk about. You might say that was the day we both discovered our undeniable chemistry, and we haven’t left each other’s sides since.
Every moment of the day was amazing but an extra special one for me was during the ceremony. Not only was I getting to marry the man of my dreams but I also had my bridal party--who I’ve been best friends with since pre-school and elementary school--by my side. I couldn’t help the emotion take over me (as you can tell by the pictures!) seeing the guy I get to spend the rest of my life with at the end of the aisle and the girls I grew up with my entire life awaiting me there as well. It was a very special moment and one I will never forget.
It is really so true what they say -- the day goes by in the blink of an eye and to take it all in while you can. We made sure to take a few moments to ourselves, pause, look around and enjoy the moment. With the drinks flowing, dance floor packed and smiles on everyone’s faces at the end of the night, we can definitely say it was the best time ever. We can’t wait to relive the special moments of our day with what the talented Poffs were able to capture!
