They both grew up in the same town, went to the same high school where he was the athlete and she was the cheerleader, had the same friends, and yet their paths never crossed until many years later. After Jocelyn graduated and came back home from college, she was introduced to Brooks through a mutual friend. That night they stayed up late talking and she walked away with butterflies in her stomach. Somehow still, nothing came of this and they went their separate ways. Finally, over a year after that, Brooks asked her to dinner and that was the start of something great. This past November Brooks asked his beautiful girlfriend to be his wife at Melville Winery in Lompoc. This is where we started their engagement session at yesterday, and then decided to hit the road and drive down to the train tracks. We lucked out with some awesome warm weather!! Jocelyn brought along a hand-painted parasol with their last initial M on it as a prop. I love how personalized and unique it is to them! And aren’t they a gorgeous couple?! They totally rocked their engagement session!! I can’t wait for their wedding in September at the Dana Powers House/Barn!
