Kristine is also a wedding photographer, and a good friend of mine! We met a few years ago and a few of us Bay Area wedding industry girls quickly became friends. We all were invited to their wedding in Italy, and of course Kaylia of Tumbleweed Floral Truck and Elise of Brannan Events pitched in too, so it was a bunch of friends helping their friend have her dream wedding! They picked this incredible villa nestled in Tuscany’s countryside, and we all got to spend a few days before the wedding exploring together. The wedding day itself was dreamy and magical, but I’ll let the photos and video speak for themselves :)
From the bride: After Zach proposed last year in Italy, we knew we wanted to return to the gorgeous Tuscany countryside. Our wedding day was inspired by the beautiful rolling landscape and gorgeous architecture of the villas nestled in between the vines. We knew we wanted both the views and the natural elements of Italy to be the main aesthetic element of the day and our wedding details to accent that.
Thinking of having a destination wedding? Here are some great tips from Kristine: Wedding days can be stressful and choosing to have a destination wedding adds to the list. There are a lot of factors that come into to play that you wouldn’t think of. It’s important to keep in mind that you won’t be able to control everything that happens. When traveling, think of maybe buying a light dress for comfortable travel and easy day trips. Also, consider having family and friends bring over some of the decor (one of the toughest parts of getting married out of the country!). Last, it is so worth it! If you think a destination wedding is right for you, do it! It will forever be the best and most memorable week of our life!
